How We Can Help

Chemo & Crayons was founded by a Sarah (a cancer mom) and Michelle (a integrative medicine cancer specialist). Our goal is to help guide you as a caregiver in taking control over your child’s treatment and empower you to make medically sound decisions about all aspects of your child’s treatment.

In these pages you will find the latest research based options for side effect management, easy to understand and shareable explanations of treatment, medications, chemo, and protocols. We have printable information that you can take with you to discuss supplement use or nutrition issues with your child’s doctors.

We have gathered lists of resources so you do not have to spend hours looking for foundations, grants, wishes, or scholarships.

Sarah as a parent and attorney has provided basic legal advice and resources by state to help you address insurance issues, medical leave, and education accommodation. We have parenting advice, checklists, suggestions you can email your friends and family to support you without adding to your to do list.

Being a caregiver of a seriously ill child is intense, and for you to give everything you have to your family, there must also be time and support dedicated to you. We have resources and suggestions for keeping yourself healthy and stable including suggested vitamin and mineral checks, access to online and in person support, and clinic and hospital friendly nutrition suggestions.

We want to be here for you as you go through this, please send any suggestions and comments and we will get you in touch with the right resources. Welcome, you’ve got this, we’ve got you.
